Punta Sur Eco Beach Park is the largest ecological park on Cozumel, just 15 miles south of town at the southern end of the island.
The park is full of exotic birds, wild flora and crocodiles in their natural habitat.
On your way to the lighthouse, stop by the Mayan ruin El Caracol and next to it climb the observation tower to watch crocodiles roam the lagoon, or take a boat ride across the Colombia Lagoon.
Don’t miss the Museum of Navigation located in the old lighthouse keepers quarters and climb the historic Celarain lighthouse to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view.
The snorkeling at the Chunchacab Reef just offshore is the best on the island. The park also has two beach restaurants with beach chairs, showers, souvenir shops.
